And finally basil got the “Protected Denomination of Origin” on Friday the 19th of December, thanks to “Tutela del Basilico Genovese” consortium and the regional council.  It’s a great achievement for  the whole Liguria, basil producers and consumers. Each and every single P.D.O. Basil bouquet will be marked by the new brand to guarantee the consumer the highest quality.
