Il 2° “Meeting Internazionale Mortai & Pestelli, cultura alimentare dei popoli” del prossimo 7 aprile ospiterà quattro importanti iniziative collaterali.

L’ANNULLO POSTALE DELL’EVENTO A CURA DI POSTE ITALIANE
Dalle ore 9.00 alle 14.00 sarà possibile ottenere un annullo con il bollo pensato e realizzato esplicitamente per il Convegno. Una occasione unica per i collezionisti italiani e stranieri e per i fans del Campionato Mondiale di Pesto.

LA MOSTRA DEGLI ANTICHI MORTAI DELLE FAMIGLIE GENOVESI
All’interno della Sala delle Grida verranno esposti vecchi e antichi mortai. Chi possiede un mortaio di famiglia e vuol partecipare all’iniziativa è invitato a presentarsi al Palazzo della Borsa tra le 8.30 e le 9.00 di venerdì 7.

“SPAGHETTI BRIDGES COMPETITION”
Il tema della pasta verrà affrontato dal particolare punto di vista degli studenti del Dipartimento di Architettura e Design del Politecnico di Genova che esporranno nove modelli di ponti che sono stati realizzati con gli spaghetti per studiarne i punti di rottura sotto carico.

DUE ELIMINATORIE DEL CAMPIONATO MONDIALE DI PESTO GENOVESE AL MORTAIO
Non potevano mancare le gare valide per la qualificazione alla finalissima del Campionato Mondiale di Pesto Genovese al Mortaio del 2018: una per i relatori e gli ospiti del convegno come nella passata edizione, e una a gran richiesta riservata a studenti che seguono il convegno.

The 2nd International Meeting “Mortars & Pestles in Food Cultures” on 7th April will also host four important collateral extras.

CANCELLATION WITH POSTAL MARKING (BY POSTE ITALIANE)

From 9.00 am to 2.00 pm it will be possible to get a cancellation with a postal marking explicitly created for the Meeting. An unique chance for the Italian and not only marcophilists and for the Genoa World Pesto Championship fans.

EXHIBITION OF THE ANCIENT MORTARS OWNED BY GENOESE FAMILIES

In the Sala delle Grida we will exhibit old and ancient mortars. For those who own a family mortars and want to participate to our initiative, they are invited to come to the Palazzo della Borsa between 8.30 and 9.00 of 7 April.

“SPAGHETTI BRIDGES COMPETITION”

Pasta will be presented also by a peculiar point of view by Architecture and Design students of the Polytechnic University of Genova. They will exhibit nine bridge models totally made of spaghetti in order to study their breaking point under load.

TWO PRELIMINARY CHALLENGES FOR THE NEXT GENOA PESTO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

We can't miss preliminary rounds for the next final of the Genoa Pesto World Championship (March 17, 2018): the first round will see the lecturers and the guests of the Meeting, like the past edition of the Meeting, the second one will be dedicated to those students who will participate to the event by popular demand.
