It has been a very intense month for the fans of the most famous Ligurian sauce and of the Genoa Pesto World Championship. Three preliminary competitions have been held at the stores Iper Lagrande of Milan Portello, Lonato (BS) and Castelfranco Veneto (TV). Paolo Tommasi Fabrizio and Valentino Migliorini have won in Milan Portello on Sunday, May 17. Luigi Vaglica from Castiglione delle Stiviere won in Lonato (BS) on Sunday, May 24 and, in Castelfranco Veneto, June 7, the winner was David Coco from Monteforte D'Alpone. The four winners will take part in the 2016 Genoa Pesto World Championship.
On June 11, the day dedicated to the Ligurian Chambers of Commerce at Expo, Roberto Panizza showed how to make Pesto with a Marble Mortar alongside a wine tasting of Ligurian wines. The following day, June 12, in the ancient kitchen ofPalazzo Spinola in Pellicceria in Genoa, a group of British journalists has competed in the Pesto Made with a Marble Mortar preparation. They could directly appreciate the fragrances and flavors of the Genoese sauce and the fun that comes in the group preaparation of the famous condiment. On June 15, in Montoggio, Maurizio Valle held a demonstration of Pesto Made With a Marble Mortar and the comedian Roby Carletta cheered up the atmosphere in a meeting with MTB competitors arrived from all over Europe for the Alta Via Stage Race.
There's more! This afternoon at 18, at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, Genoa Photo Marathon will announce the winners of the theme “Genoese Midday” proposed by the Cultural Association of Palatifini. The winner will receive a set of gadgets of the Genoa Pesto World Championship.
