Amici del Pesto Genovese siamo all’inizio di una nuova avventura!

Dopo il Campionato Mondiale che raccoglie sempre più fans pensiamo di concorrere al riconoscimento che il pesto prodotto con il mortaio venga considerato “bene culturale immateriale dell’umanità” dall’UNESCO. Abbiamo le carte in regola sia dal punto di vista antropologico che per salubrità e bontà. Con questa iniziativa di livello internazionale voluta da Camera di Commercio, Comune di Genova e Regione Liguria, che tutti siamo chiamati a incoraggiare, preserviamo e comunichiamo meglio le tradizioni, pensando che un buon pesto avvicini i popoli oltre che i buongustai.
Per riuscirci ci vorrà tempo, pazienza e perizia, ma sono qualità che non mancano a chi è abituato a fare il pesto con il mortaio!

Dear friends of Genoese Pesto, we are at the beginning of a new adventure!

After the World Championship that gathers more and more fans, we hope that Pesto made by marble mortar and wooden pestle will be selected as "intangible cultural heritage of humanity" by UNESCO. We have the credentials both from the anthropological point of view and for health and goodness. With this initiative, deeply wanted by the Chamber of Commerce, the City of Genoa and the Region of  Liguria, we are all called to encourage, preserve and communicate our best traditions, persuaded that a good Pesto joins together everybody from all over the world not only the gourmets! Now we need time, patience and skill, but these are the Pesto-made-by-mortars-makers’ qualities!
