Preliminary competition in Bahrein

Saturday, November 30th, Genova Pesto World Championship will be held for the first time in the Middle East, namely in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. The event is part of the week of Italian Cuisine in the World and was organized thanks to Alessandro Pilloni, who was recently named “Ambassador of Genoa in the World” and for two years, after graduating in Financial Affairs in London and the Master in Bocconi of Milan, has settled in Bahrain, where he works at a securities investment company.
The exceptional event will be held under the patronage of the Embassy of Manama and the Municipality of Genoa. The Italian Ambassador in Bahrain Domenico Bellato, welcomed Pelloni’s idea with great enthusiasm, because through this event he will bring a bit of Italian spirit to a country where a small community of our fellow countrymen lives.
The President of the Palatifini Association Roberto Panizza and the reigning Champion Emiliano Pescarolo will be ambassadors of the Championship and of Pesto.
