In occasion of the 59th edition of the beauty contest “Miss Muretto” (Alassio, 1-4 August), aspiring Misses in competition will also compete preparing Genoese Pesto using high quality local ingredients and traditional tools. A beautiful way to promote our Region and its specialties!
Pesto competition is Friday, August 3 starting at 19:00 at the Cafe Roma, opposite the historic “wall” (“Muretto” means “little wall”). The race is open to aspiring Miss, the jury is composed by TV presenter Tessa Gelisio, journalist Patrizia Albanese, author and organizer of Miss Muretto Francesco Di Biase, Luca Costi Confartigianato Liguria, Marinella Mantovani finalist at the Pesto World Championship 2008 and, of course, Roberto Panizza, President of Palatifini.
This initiative is part of the activities “Liguria Protagonista di Stile”, the girls in the competition will be tested with multiple activities related to the promotion and enhancement of Liguria. The event is made possible through collaboration with the Special Agency for the Promotion of the Chamber of Commerce of Savona, in partnership with the Region of Liguria, the Chamber of Commerce of Savona, Confartigianato Liguria.
