How to get there
The World Pesto Championship takes place in the prestigious Salone del Maggior Consiglio inside Palazzo Ducale, located in the historic center of Genoa, in Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, just a few steps from Piazza De Ferrari.
By car
Genoa can be easily reached via the A7, A10, and A12 motorways, following the signs for Genova Centro.
As the historic city center is partly subject to a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), visitors are advised to park in nearby parking facilities and continue on foot.

- Parking Porto Antico
From these parking facilities, Palazzo Ducale can be reached on foot in approximately 5–10 minutes.
By public transport
Palazzo Ducale is easily accessible via the public transport network operated by AMT Genova.
By train:
The main railway stations serving the city are Stazione di Genova Brignole and Stazione di Genova Piazza Principe.
From both stations you can:
- take several bus lines heading toward the city center (De Ferrari)
- or use the metro to the De Ferrari (metropolitana di Genova) stop.
From De Ferrari metro station, Palazzo Ducale is about a 1-minute walk away.
On Foot
Palazzo Ducale is located between Piazza De Ferrari and Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, in the monumental heart of the city.

Access to the Salone del Maggior Consiglio is through the main entrance of Palazzo Ducale in Piazza Giacomo Matteotti.
