From October 9 to 12, 2025, the city of Uzès hosted the third edition of the Saveurs & Savoirs Festival, a well-established event that celebrates the encounter between culture, traditions, and gastronomic innovation. Every

Within this prestigious context, the fifth French selection for the 11th World Pesto Championship took place.
In front of a jury d’exception, the competitors challenged each other in the preparation of pesto using only a mortar and pestle.
The winner of the French selection will have the honor of officially representing France at the 2026 World Championship in Genoa. This prestigious achievement not only celebrates gastronomic excellence but also strengthens the bond between different cultures united by a passion for one of the most beloved symbols of Ligurian cuisine: handmade pesto.
This event confirms once again that pesto is not just a recipe but a true cultural heritage capable of crossing borders, telling the story of different regions, and combining tradition and innovation in a unique sensory experience.
