Simona Vitali, blogger and creator of Solobellestorie.it, won the ninth Pesto competition valid for the VII Genoa Pesto World Championship. Simona comes from Reggio Emilia and she trained with determination before participating in the race. The competition was organized in collaboration with the Consortium of Parmigiano Reggiano on the occasion of Terra madre – il Salone del Gusto di Torino.
Our congratulations to Simona and to all participants, all Pesto were actually quite good. The ten competitors – bloggers and food expert, as well as Simona – were Clara Gusmaroli, Giulia Cappelli, Stefano Cavada, Cristina Panizzuti, Lina D’Ambrosio, Daniela Corso, Simone Ficarelli, Alessio Cannata and Clelia Iacoviello.
The jury was composed by Roberto Panizza, President of Palatifini, the journalist Luigi Franchi – editorial director of “Sala e Cucina” and Giulia Rampini from Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium.
The stand has turned into a big party and the smell of Pesto invaded the Valentino Park!
