From March 12 to 18, Liguria Region, the Municipality of Genoa, the Chambers of Commerce of Genoa and the Rivieras of Liguria and numerous Ligurian Municipalities organize “La Settimana del Pesto” (Pesto Week) throughout Liguria.

Food shops will be protagonists of the general mobilization to support the candidacy of Genoese Pesto prepared using marble mortar and wooden pestle at the Italian National Commission for UNESCO as a best practice of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage.

The owners of gastronomy who prepare and sell pesto are called to offer tastings of Pesto!
