Andrea, reknown painter in Los Angeles and Italian food lover, won the mortar made pesto official selection reserved to US competitors and valid for the Third Genoa Pesto World Championship.
11 competitors coming from many californian cities took part to the pesto competition which was held at the prestigious Vincenti Restaurant in Brentwood, Los Angeles.
The jury included Master Chef Nicola Mastronardi, Evan Kleiman manager for Slow Food in Santa Monica, Teresa Earl American competitor in the last Championship in Genoa and Roberto Panizza and Sara Di Paolo from Associazione Palatifini.
At the second and third place respectively Elyse Eisenberg and Susan Caspi from Boston and Los Angeles.
