Have you ever seen “100 Young Pirates” – about 8 years old – conquered your city? That happened Saturday the 23th of May in Genoa. Impossible not had seen that funny crew winding above among the beautiful Genoa streets – from Palazzo Ducale to Porto Antico, through via Garibaldi.

A new initiative by Associazione Palatifini – in collaboration with Consorzio Agorà and De Amicis Library – aimed to let children discover Genoa, its history and beautiful places, by means of cultural and funny activities coordinated by professional animators for kids, as the best edutainment !
The adventure started at Palazzo Ducale (De Ferrari Square) where one-hundred young and brave “pirates” met Dragut, the frightful pirate from Turkey – follower of the well-known Barbarossa – captured and imprisoned by the Genoese admiral Andrea Doria….. Our crew found the pirate’s goodies in Palazzo Tursi garden (one of the Rolli’s Palaces inscribed as a World Heritage Site), then sighted corsairs ship from the Mirador, the panoramic terrace of Galata Museum. Finally they all achieved the “Real Pirate Degree” at De Amicis Library !
