On Tuesday, April 16th, the Chamber of Deputies will be colored with green basil for the demonstration of dishes made with pesto. At 10 in Piazza Montecitorio 1 (Room in front of the Restaurant) there will be a press conference to present the tasting of typical dishes based on pesto and Genoese basil.

A demonstration of Genoese Pesto will be held in the heart of the national institutions.

This initiative, promoted by Regione Liguria in collaboration with the Palatifini Association and the Enoteca Regionale Ligure, is part of the recognition process, started in 2015, of the Pesto Genovese al Mortaio, as a good practice of safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity UNESCO.

Last year the Liguria Region had organized the “Pesto Week” in collaboration with the Municipalities and Chambers of Commerce under the hashtag #orgogliopesto which had seen thousands of Genoese and Ligurians sign in application support.
