The winners of the two pesto competitions organized in occasion of OliOliva, the great fair of Imperia dedicated to extra-virgin oil of olive, come from Piedmont, the region north of Liguria, but they are of Ligurian origins!

All the pestos prepared were in average quite good, even if for many participants it was the first time they use mortar and pestle! Competitions were anticipated by a pesto demo realized by Maurizio Valle, a member of Associazione Palatifini!
