Yesterday afternoon the students of State Vocational School for Tourism and Catering ‘Marco Polo’ (Genoa) competed in the preparation of mortar made Pesto. All Pesto were very good, but only two won the participation to the Pesto World Championship: Giorgio Cuffari and Simone Vesuviano. Here some pictures!

In the evening, another competition at Braxe Restaurant (Genoa) in partnership with Slow Food. Here the winner was Donato Torres, followed by Donatella Lazzari and Patricia Lanza in third position. The jury was composed by: chef Matthew Losio, Livia Merlo and Candida Grosso of Slow Food, gourmet Sergio Rossi and Roberto Panizza of Palatifini Association. Here all the images!
