On Friday 7 April many Italian and international experts and gastronomers will participate
at the 2° Meeting “Mortars & Pestles in Food Cultures”. For example, only to cite those ones who come from the greatest distances, from Japan there will be Junjii Tsuchiya, who will talk about the gastronomic culture in his country (“harmonious diversity”) and from Mexico Alejandro Farfan, who will prepare live the ahucamolli (guacamole, “the green pleasure of eating”).

These are just two names among the over twenty lecturers of this event that will be focused on food cultures that have a common denominator in mortar and gastronomic roots; a special follow-up inspection on the role of pasta, sauces and social habits around food of the Ligurian community and of other populations.

The Meeting will take place in Genova at the Palazzo della Borsa (Via XX Settembre 44) and is organised by Palatifini Cultural Association.
