The Competition, organized by the Municipality of Genoa – Department of Commerce, Handicraft, Protection and Development of Valleys, Major Events and Historic Center, with the collaboration of the Genoa Chamber of Commerce and the Palatifini Cultural Association, will start on 4 December 2020 and will will end at 24.00 on February 8, 2021.
Graphics and design professionals, comics authors, drawing enthusiasts, creatives of all ages, artists, art workshops, image studios and agencies, students of art schools and academies (possibly represented by an adult) are invited to participate in the big cartoon contest “PESTOCHAMPIONSHIP MASCOT” for the identification of the Pesto mascot, the virtual testimonial that will accompany and enhance all the events of the Genoese Pesto al Mortaio World Championship in the coming years.
The winner will be announced at VIII World Mortar Pesto Championship Digital edition which will take place on March 20, 2021 and will receive a prize of 2,500 Euros. The jury is made up of a team of highly qualified experts and professionals who will be announced at the end of the competition coordinated by Gian Franco Uber, an international cartoonist.
