On the occasion of the Fourth Genoa Pesto World Championship Chefs from Genova Gourmet –  the quality mark of the Chamber of Commerce of Genoa that identifies and guarantees the best restaurants – were the protagonists of Pesto Gran Gala which was held in the evening on Saturday 17 March in the splendid Hall of Palazzo della Borsa in Genoa.
Thirteen chefs, from as many restaurants in the Province of Genoa, offered guests a selection of dishes with a touch of creativity, all linked by the flavor of basil, Genovese basil POD of course! A real pleasure to the palate, accompanied by wines, expertly matched by AIS Sommeliers, and by a tasting of EVO Oils by the Consortium Riviera Ligure POD,  enjoyed as unusual appetizer. The plates, all of highest quality, were served by young students of the Istituto Alberghiero Nino Bergese.
The Pesto Grand Gala was created by Chef from: Al Veliero, Antica Osteria della Castagna, Ferrando, I Tre Merli Porto Antico, La Rose en Table vino e desinare, Le Rune, Lupo Antica Trattoria, Manuelina, Ristorante Baldin, Trattoria Bedin, Trattoria detta del Bruxaboschi 1862, Trattoria Franca and  Vitturin 1860.
