Saturday 18 May there was an exceptional preliminary competition of Genoese Pesto on board of Costa Favolosa! The ship left on May 15th was the ideal location for the new edition of Protagonists of the Sea, the annual event organized by Costa Crociere dedicated to the best travel agents and partners of the company. Until May 19, on the Costa Favolosa, with the commercial team of the shipping company, there were about 1,800 partners from over 32 countries around the world. The cruise touched Savona, Marseille and Barcelona.
The 2019 edition of the Protagonists of the Sea is the 26th edition and is created with the idea of focusing on travel agents, involving them in a series of tailor-made initiatives based on their preferences, with the active participation of Costa management .
The activities saw the partners get involved with the Costa management to prepare the best pesto, the best tiramisu and the best cocktail, which will then be included in the bar list of the new flagship Costa Smeralda.
Chef Bruno Barbieri, executive chef Costa, Stefano Fontanesi and our reigning champion Emiliano Pescarolo are jury of excellence in the preliminary competition valid for the next 2020 Championship. Pesto on board!
