In Mignanego, 8 October 2022, 10 a.m., the first elimination race in Italy

It will take place in Mignanego, a very old village in the upper Polcevera Valley, behind Genoa, at 10 a.m. on Saturday 8 October, at the Bar Latteria Eleonora in Via Piave 68, the first elimination competition in Italy valid for the 10th edition of the world championship of Genoese Pesto al Mortaio. With the one in Mignanego, the Championship already has two eliminations under its belt, the first of which took place abroad in Aptos (San Francisco, California) under the supervision of Palatifini Cultural Association President Roberto Panizza and Michelin-starred chef David Kinch.

As is well known, the championship is also an opportunity to communicate Made in Italy, Ligurian food culture and the Mediterranean Diet (UNESCO World Heritage Site) through cultural initiatives, demonstrations and social and educational activities. On the occasion of the MotoGP World Championship on 2/4 September at the Misano World Circuit (Rimini), Mauro Canepa of the Palatifini Association organised a demonstration of pesto made by mortar in front of riders, team managers, journalists and insiders. The Pesto was then served to more than 200 people (in the photo two riders attend).
