The first classified of the “Pestochampionship Mascot” award was proclaimed live during the digital edition of the VIII Pesto World Championship.
The award was presented by the Councilor for Commerce and Major Events of the Municipality of Genoa Paola Bordilli. The first classified is called Lucio Angelo De Giuseppe, known as “DeGiu”, from Genoa, who was awarded the recognition and the prize of € 2,500 offered by the Municipality – Department of Commerce and Major Events.
The author, who is a cartoonist and illustrator by profession, called the mascot Pestello.
And Pestello will accompany the Championship in future initiatives and in the next Championships!
