Big success in Bergen on February 14th for the pesto competition! During the day there were two pesto demos for different Norwegian cooking schools. Best students had the chance to participate to the final competition that took place in the evening. The winner of the competition was Margarethe Vikan Saebo and she is an educator.
Members of the jury were: Stig Hammersland Chef and teacher at Sandsli, Gunnar Nagell-Dahl Chef and food-attache in Hordaland region, and Elin Kvamme Norwegian Champion in 2012.
It was an high level competition with a competitive but friendly atmosphere. The young winner is now looking forwand to the Genoa Championship on April 16!
