The fair was held at the Fiera di Genova, from October 14th to 17th, with a great success of the public and operators, Ristorexpo, the professional exhibition dedicated to the horeca sector, was the result of the collaboration between Lariofiere and Confcommercio.
“RistorExpo has been a great success for operators in the sector, for the public and for visitors”, the voice of the exhibitors and that of the chefs who took part in the event is unanimous.
This event is something that has been missing for a long time in the city – and it can represent the rebirth of Genoa, internationally from the point of view of gastronomy .
In this context, the main protagonist was Pesto, a gastronomic element for which Genoa is known all over the world. There were two preliminary competitions valid for the next Genova Pesto World Championship at the Mortar, the first saw the protagonists as the chefs and the second instead young students and promising chefs of the future.
RistorExpo, it was not only BeToBe meetings reserved for catering but also an opportunity to exchange among the operators of the sector, great excellences of Liguria such as the Focaccia al Formaggio di Recco, the Pesto, the consortium of extra virgin olive oil, the Mytiliade promoted by the municipality of Lerici with the muscles of the Gulf of Poets, the Gambero Viola of Santa Margherita Ligure and the Gambero Rosso di Sanremo.
Food and wine is also economy and represents the territory and culture of our entire region.
