Andrea, reknown painter in Los Angeles and Italian food lover, won the mortar made pesto official selection reserved to US competitors and valid for the Third Genoa Pesto World Championship. 11 competitors coming from many californian cities took part to the pesto competition which was held at the prestigious Vincenti Restaurant in Brentwood, Los Angeles.

US pesto competitors are preparing their mortar and pestles for the first-ever US preliminary competition round in pesto making to be held at Vincenti Restaurant in Brentwood on Wednesday the 24th of February beginning at 4:30 pm.

“Walking through the city” - the most popular TV show in Japan on travel and tourism - has dedicated an episode to Genoa and, of course, mortar made pesto couldn’t miss at all!
